The Forty-Seventh Year for Blind Ski Program - The next event is June 26, 2010  

The Blind Community Center San Diego and the Braille Institute San Diego participated at the first Clinic of the year in May.  Everybody had a great time.

The June 26th Clinic will have two Groups Participating, Blind Community Center San Diego and Braille Institute San Diego   

Volunteers Needed:  Boats for: Water Skiing (need one with boom); Boat Rides; Tube Rides  

On the Beach To assist with vests & wetsuits & getting around   Clipboard sign-up list for waterskiing, tube rides & boat rides   Water ski and tube instructors on the beach & in the water   Serving donuts, coffee, & hot chocolate  

At the Club Cooking and Serving Lunch and Assisting Blind Participants to the tables  

Mark your calendars—Blind Ski dates: June 26th, July 31st, August 21st, and September 25th.

Save the Date for Third Annual Blind Ski Fundraiser! Saturday, July 31, 2010 CARNIVAL THEME”

Silent Auction and Dinner Our 3rd Annual Blind Ski Program Fundraiser, Carnival, will take place Saturday, July 31st coinciding with the third event of this season’s Blind Ski Program. The festivities will kick-off at 12pm as the participants arrive back from Hidden Anchorage with an outdoor BBQ, cotton candy and popcorn station, jumpy, balloon making, and more! The Silent Auction will begin at 1pm concluding at 7pm right after dinner.

The Metro Dance Performers will take the stage about 3pm. The dancers love performing at the boat club and this will be their third time returning for the Blind Ski Fundraiser!

Last year, the SDMBB&SC raised almost $2,700! We are looking to raise $5,000 this year to continue supporting of the Blind Ski Program, which is in its 47th year of continuance!

Some fabulous prizes already received for this year’s 3rd Annual Blind Ski Fundraiser are: Chargers autographed football signatures include LT, Drew Brees, Darren Sproles and many more, donated courtesy of Jason and Traci Brustkern, our biggest supporters! 2 tickets to Dollywood or Dollywood’s Splash Country Water Adventure Park located in beautiful Tennessee courtesy of Flo Smith, (Commodore Mike’s Mom). Into the evening will be a scrumptious buffet dinner by Commodore Chef Mike Smith and special guest chefs at 6pm!

The Silent Auction tables close promptly at 7pm. You must be present to win or other arrangements will need to be made in advance with myself, such as a credit card on file, etc.

In-Kind donations, monetary contributions, volunteering your time are welcome in order to make this event successful.
